Mission Statement: The instructors at Unlimited Learning Equestrian Center are driven to help individuals of all ages become independent, knowledgeable, and skilled in horsemanship and equestrian sports. Unlimited Learning Equestrian instructors eliminate the biased push towards any particular riding style by offering an individualized plan designed in collaboration with each client, based on their experiences and goals. Unlimited Learning Equestrian Center is an inclusive space for all students because the world of horses should be accessible to everyone.
Scope of Practice: The program of Unlimited Learning Equestrian Center primarily offers foundational horsemanship in western, english, and colt starting in the home visit, private, semi private, group and ground lesson format to students ages 4 and up. With the goal of providing education, safety and quality horse care in addition to under saddle instruction, the program takes pride in the ground work lessons/sessions available, as well as the ability to cater to the learning styles preferences of each student. Unlimited Learning Equestrian Center is available for lessons/sessions year round. Other avenues of equestrian sports may be available based on the needs of the clientele.
In order for instructors to provide the services to the best of their abilities, this agreement will ensure all involved parties will operate on the same page.
Respect: All clients and instructors will demonstrate respect especially in the following capacities.
Property and Barn Staff
Cleaning up after yourself which includes but is not limited to putting away tack and grooming tools, picking up horse droppings and returning all items to their original placement.
Animals
No abusive behavior will be permitted. This will be cause for immediate termination from the lesson program and dismissal from the property.
Students will be expected to care appropriately for their horse including proper grooming and tacking techniques, cooling down, and hosing off (in warm months). If the student notices an injury, notify the instructor immediately.
Instructors prioritize the health and wellbeing of the horses and hold the right to cancel a lesson at any point if they feel an animal is in harm's way.
Equipment
Treat provided equipment gently. Do not intentionally throw or cause damage to riding equipment.
One Another
Respect is a two way street; Unlimited Learning Staff has a zero tolerance policy for foul language, negative comments, or hurtful actions for both its staff and its clientele.
Consequences for inappropriate/disrespectful behavior will be determined on a case by case basis according to the instructor’s discretion.
Communication: Communication must be done effectively and promptly through text or email. All correspondence that requires a prompt response by either party, must have a response within 24 hours if possible. Respectful communication on both sides will be a necessity.
Condition Disclosure: All clients are expected to disclose any conditions (physical or mental) that would affect their involvement in the lesson program
Grievances:
There will be space for students to collaborate with the instructor about the content of their lessons/sessions. However, ultimately, it will be to the instructor’s discretion as they are the professional. There will inevitably be instances where the instructor and student (or the student’s guardian) have a disagreement. In this instance, the student (or the student’s guardian) will need to speak directly with the instructor. It is preferable that such disagreement can be resolved one-on-one between the client and the instructor. If this cannot be accomplished, despite attempts made on both parts, a third party Unlimited Learning staff member or manager can be brought in to help mediate the situation. If resolution cannot be reached, the client will terminate their involvement in the lesson program or may have the option to switch instructors if this is deemed appropriate by the CEO of Unlimited Learning Equestrian.
According to lesson program policies, there are no refunds offered under any circumstance. If a client or instructor terminates services in the middle of the month, this policy will still be in effect.
